Full Toolroom Capabilities
The largest expense in any injection molding project is by far the tool itself. Many factors contribute to this cost, single cavity or multi-cavity, what type of material to use, type of material to be processed on the tool, hot-runner or conventional runner system. Each of these factors can change the cost of the tool significantly in either direction. Single cavity designs are excellent for lower quantity production; while the final cost of the product will be higher the initial cost of the tool will be lower possibly allowing you to get your product on the market faster. Multi-cavity designs are typically used in high volume production parts to keep the final cost of the product lower while simultaneously allowing for faster production times. Another factor to consider for tool cost is the type of material to be used. While most molds are built using standard tool steel, aluminum and stainless steel can be used depending on the plastics that will be used during production. Many times aluminum cavities can be used to keep the cost of the mold down for a low production product, aluminum can be chrome plated or hard coated to increase the life of the mold. Tool steel and stainless steel are recommended for higher production tools to increase the life of the mold while keeping mold maintenance to a minimum.

Large Production Room
Our goal at Injection Plastics Manufacturing is to provide high quality products to our customers as quickly and efficiently as possible. We meet this goal by using injection molding machines ranging in size from 22 tons up to 450 tons, with shot sizes ranging from 1 oz to 44 oz. These machine configurations allow us to cover a broad spectrum of part sizes that may run in single cavity or multi-cavity mold designs, as well as hot runner or conventional systems. Quality control is performed at several intervals throughout the production cycle using certified equipment to check that all parameters are within specification per our clients’ prints.
